Hello all, I just digged into Retopology as I am working more and more with Zbrushmodels. First I thought I would buy Topogun. But than I had the Idea to use the Shrinkwrapdeformer to make Retopology in Cinema4d directly. I have discovered something really cool. You can use the Shrinkwrap while editing with any modelling-tools. And the lowpolymesh stays on the surface of the Highres-mesh. I was really happy to see this. But then I found some limitations. Because the Modelingtools like Knife, Brushes or edge-extrude will only see the Normaldirections of the undeformed Mesh. So you get a mess after every big change. Ok...than my Idea was to make a "current state to object" on the Lowpolymesh and reassign the Shrinkwrapdeformer. To do this by Hand everytime it would interrupt the workflow to much. So I wrote a Script for it (Retopo-Remesh). Another Script (retopo-initialize) sets up your Scene and your tools so you can start modelling at once.
And I find it Works Great. I would like to exchange opinions and Experiences with this technique here. The important thing to do is to use the Remesh-Script after any big change like using the Brushtool or the Edge-extrude. Best You give it a shortcut.
Short Instruction: -Select your Highpolymesh -Run "Retopo-initialize" and choose if the Mesh is symmetrical. ( If yes, the mesh needs to be oriantated on World Zero) -Start drawing you loop with the "create polygon tool" - After every use of the Brush-tool, the Knife or edge-extrude you have to run the Remesh-Script. - After you are done you can run the Remesh-Script and delete the Shrinkwrapdeformer.
C4D에서 토폴로지 생성으로 쓸만한게 있으면 참 좋겠다고 생각했었는데 마침 이렇게 올려주셔서 한번 사용해보았습니다. 그냥 스냅을 걸고 할때보다는 정말 편하네요 ^^; 맥스 2012에도 비슷한게 나오던데 동영상으로 봤을때 사용하는 느낌은 비슷한거 같기도 합니다. 플러그인을 이용해서 토폴로지를 하다보니 매쉬가 어느정도 생성이 된 후에 Retopo - Smearbrush와 Retopo - Smoothbrush를 사용할때나 엣지를 그냥 잡고 움직일때등의 상황에서 슬로우로 작업한다는 느낌이 좀 듭니다. 조금 답답하지만, 그래도 없이 사용할때보다는 많이 편해져서 만족스럽습니다. ^^ 사용중 이미지를 한번 올려봅니다.
