ARIS MashZone - The Information Engine for the Entire Staff

IDS Sheer AG needed an exciting and easy to understand high-end product trailer to showcase how its product, ARIS MashZone, works.

ARIS MashZone is a tool for quick creation of analytical graphics. Fields of application include analysis of marketing campaigns, competitive and financial analysis and more. Logistical data, data for personnel planning and sales data can be combined and displayed. ARIS MashZone is a tool for the quick analysis of highly complex data.

“The challenge that this project offered was in having to create an exciting and appealing look for complex and abstract coherencies. We used CINEMA 4D for the creation of all aspects of this project”, states Grafiker.org’s Jano Müller.

“The very complex scene, which contains no cuts, was made possible by heavy use of XRef objects. In addition, dozens of MoGraph and Instance objects were used, which required much less memory and greatly sped up our production pipeline. Thanks to CINEMA 4D’s powerful animation system we were also able to include completely animated characters. The Advanced Render module, which was made available for R11.5 near the end of production, and the new, faster Global Illumination rendering made it possible to complete the project ahead of schedule. CINEMA 4D R11.5 saved us time and money.”

The entire project was completed in only four weeks by a team of four to the customer’s complete satisfaction.

The film visualizes and explains complex coherencies with a great attention to detail. The software’s functionalities are demonstrated using several exemplary processes that are analyzed using ARIS MashZone. Set in a virtual world, an airport is created, airplanes land and discharge their freight, a tradeshow booth appears and a manager explains performance figures during a meeting. This all takes place on top of a notebook running ARIS MashZone that analyzes all of these figures and coherencies and displays them graphically.
