CINEMA 4D R11 wins Macworld Editors' Choice

"CINEMA 4D R11 is a brilliant upgrade"

CINEMA 4D Release 11 has won the Editors' Choice award in Macworld, scoring a perfect five out of five. "We doubt that there's an easier-to-use, better-integrated and feature-rich 3D toolset out there," said Macworld.

The magazine praised the completely rewritten Global Illumination (GI) render engine, which allows users to create photorealistic lighting with minimal setup: "(The new) GI rendering system is both more accurate and easier to use than the old version."

Character animators especially will be delighted by the new non-linear animation system, according to Macworld:"The new (non-linear animation) system, which includes motion clips, animation layers and blending, makes animating complex characters a doddle."

MAXON's leading support for the Macintosh platform also drew praise from Macworld: "CINEMA 4D is now a fully cocoa-native app and one of the few apps available that can take full advantage of Apple's 64-bit operating system. This allows you to render hugely complicated scenes in a single pass and we must say that it works well without a hint of drama."

Describing CINEMA 4D R11 as "a brilliant upgrade", Macworld wrapped up: "Not forgetting that CINEMA 4D still boasts the awesome MoGraph module, a feature-packed character animation toolset, and hair and cloth simulation, we doubt that there's an easier-to-use, better-integrated and feature-rich 3D toolset out there."
